  DRAGON'S MYTH - continued

[16:40]  Dragon Shichiroji: imagine sitting with such a simple life, around a fire just hearing stories that stretched your spirit and made your imagination soar

[16:40]  Dragon Shichiroji: they would derive so much from just that, it was so much a cornerstone of their lives (lol besides boar hunting and climbing trees)

[16:41]  Kitty Sprocket thinks it sounds glorious

[16:41]  Yummi Burrito giggles

[16:41]  Anjel Messmer: mmmmm hammm

[16:41]  FireStaar Frye: before books :)

[16:41]  Dragon Shichiroji: Myths have also become a way of explaining natural phenomenon and nnature

[16:42]  Dragon Shichiroji: and some of these powers were attributeed to the gods, in almost all faiths and ways

[16:42]  FreeCastor Jun is Online

[16:42]  Sufi Aya: Myths can be very powerful

[16:42]  FireStaar Frye: indeed:)

[16:42]  Dragon Shichiroji: you can perhaps consider, that 1000 years in the future, people may have myths about this time

[16:42]  Kitty Sprocket: / :)

[16:42]  Dragon Shichiroji: the story is a powerful thing, because if we identify with a story it becomes about our lives

[16:42]  Sufi Aya: Like Windows actually worked?

[16:42]  Sianna Odriscoll: maybe even myths about SL!

[16:43]  Dragon Shichiroji: in a sense we all have a story about ourselves, where we haev come from and where we are going

[16:43]  You: this is a time of great changes and transistions, so i think so : )

[16:43]  Dragon Shichiroji: (LOL sufi -- surely that is never going to happen)

[16:43]  FireStaar Frye: lol

[16:43]  Kitty Sprocket giggles

[16:43]  You: ugg bill gates

[16:43]  FireStaar Frye: now it will hehe

[16:43]  Dragon Shichiroji: So i Continue... lets see how myths operate in our lives..

[16:44]  Dragon Shichiroji: i;ll illustrate with an exxample , if you see behind me on the screen

[16:44]  jes Eilde: do you thnk we will have myths about now? I mean everythign is writtten down now and aren't myths from times when people didn't write everything?

[16:44]  You: myth is a story converying a life message, so i think so

[16:44]  Dragon Shichiroji: Jes i think the first was spoken languge before writing and myths were a way of passing information in the siplest way.

[16:44]  You: (so i think hehe)

[16:44]  Sufi Aya: Depends...are ufo's mythological?

[16:44]  FireStaar Frye: it was

[16:45]  Roger Razor: internet hoaxes

[16:45]  FireStaar Frye: things passed down orally

[16:45]  Dragon Shichiroji: so this picture here. you can see. 2 groups of people.. the blue skinned and the brown skinned.. they are holding a snake...at both ends. it is like a tug of war

[16:45]  Dragon Shichiroji: can you all see this picture?

[16:45]  FireStaar Frye: yes

[16:45]  jes Eilde nods

[16:45]  Jane Atkey: yes

[16:45]  Sianna Odriscoll: yes

[16:45]  Dragon Shichiroji: Has anyone heard of this story before? the churning of the ocean

[16:45]  You: snake usually means life . . .

[16:45]  Manon Clary: yes

[16:45]  You: no

[16:45]  Jane Atkey: no

[16:45]  FireStaar Frye: i think i have

[16:46]  Anjel Messmer: its a chymera

[16:46]  DjDaniel Lane: yes

[16:46]  Anjel Messmer: om namah siva yah

[16:46]  alexis Delcon is Offline

[16:46]  jes Eilde: does it represent a struggle between two opposites?

[16:47]  You: blue in india means love i think

[16:47]  Dragon Shichiroji: :) some good answers...

[16:47]  You: maybe a life conflict between love and . . .

[16:47]  Dragon Shichiroji: let me tell you a story.....

[16:47]  Kitty Sprocket settles in for Dragon's story

[16:47]  Dragon Shichiroji: if there are some words which arent known.. i shall explain thenm...

[16:47]  Anjel Messmer: siva is the godof creation, destruction and restoration

[16:48]  Dragon Shichiroji puts logs in the fire...... and hears a crackling noise.. as smoke rises into the classroom

[16:48]  Sufi Aya coughs

[16:48]  Yummi Burrito: :)

[6:48]  Yummi Burrito: hehe

[16:48]  FireStaar Frye: fire snuggles in close to the fire and listens intently

[16:48]  Dragon Shichiroji: at this time.. the universe had just been recreated....

[16:48]  Harley331 Roff is Offline

[16:49]  Dragon Shichiroji: there was a lack of amrita-- nectar. which everyone needed for strength..

[16:49]  Dragon Shichiroji: there were two groups of beings. the gods and the demons

[16:49]  Dragon Shichiroji: and both of them were suffered. for they had hoped for big treasures from the recreation

[16:49]  Dragon Shichiroji: the job was too big for the gods. who asked for the demons for help

[16:50]  Dragon Shichiroji: they planned to churn the ocean thinking treasures would come forth from deep below

[16:51]  Dragon Shichiroji: the demons were happy to help out and tore up a mountain to use aas a giant churning stick

[16:51]  Dragon Shichiroji: they awoke the sleeping serpent vasuki from the netherworld and used that to turn the stick

[16:52]  Dragon Shichiroji: as the churning progressed. vasuki become more agitated. and started to spit poison and heat

[16:52]  Dragon Shichiroji: it was such a foul poison and contaminant the god Shiva came to take the poison into his throat

[16:52]  Dragon Shichiroji: it turned his throat blue but it did not pass further

[16:53]  Dragon Shichiroji: the mountain that was being used started to sink down down...

[16:54]  Dragon Shichiroji: and te god vishnu this time intervened to take the form of a tortoise so he could dive down to the bottom. so the churning could continue , he helped it to continue

[16:54]  Dragon Shichiroji: from this perseverence some precious things came forth.....

[16:54]  Dragon Shichiroji: the goddesss laxmi, the gooddess of wine, the moon, jeweels,

[16:55]  Dragon Shichiroji: and you know when you arent happy and you want more and more.. the gods and demons waited..

[16:55]  Anjel Messmer: the snake is probably kundalini

[16:55]  FireStaar Frye: :)

[16:56]  Dragon Shichiroji: the wishing tree... the cow of plenty a mighty bow....

[16:56]  Dragon Shichiroji: and still there was more..

[16:56]  Dragon Shichiroji: (Aye ANjel ; )

[16:56]  Yummi Burrito: go anjel

[16:56]  Anjel Messmer: blushes

[16:56]  Yummi Burrito: :)

[16:56]  Dragon Shichiroji: the gods and demons waitied paistakingly for the Amrit to appear the nectar that prolonged life and gave strenth

[16:57]  You: (snakes usually represent life, the cycles via the shedding of skin)

[16:57]  FireStaar Frye: wisdom as well

[16:57]  Dragon Shichiroji: dhanwantari another god appeared with the amrit. and both the gods and demons tried to grab it

[16:57]  You: in life-positive views yes : )

[16:58]  Dragon Shichiroji: again vishun appeared in the form of a beautiful woman and did a trick where the gods got the amrit and the demons got instead alcohol lol

[16:58]  FireStaar Frye: lol

[16:58]  Anjel Messmer: that vishnu

[16:58]  Sufi Aya: bet it was schnaaps...does it everytime

[16:58]  Dragon Shichiroji: the demons however were not pleased.. and forcibly grabbed the pot..

[16:59]  Dragon Shichiroji: and then took it away .. but spilled its contents ... all over the earth and wherever drops landed werejewels

[16:59]  Dragon Shichiroji: then again lol a god Indra took the remaining parts and dropped the amrit on what are now the 4 famous sacred sites of india

[17:00]  Dragon Shichiroji: one of which is the place of kumbh mela...

[17:00]  Sianna Odriscoll: (sorry i've g2g - g'nite!)

[17:00]  Dragon Shichiroji: so as you can see... the back and forth between the gods and demons.. over the amrit...

[17:00]  Dragon Shichiroji: what does this mean to us -- personally?

[17:00]  FireStaar Frye: nite Sianna

[17:00]  Sufi Aya: internal struggle

[17:00]  Dragon Shichiroji: the story is inveitiably about desire. and whathappens with desire.. it is also about the evolution of the spirit...

[17:01]  Kitty Sprocket: /if you fight, you do not win... you should accept what's given?

[17:01]  Anjel Messmer: dont spill your beer

[17:01]  You: hehe

[17:01]  Dragon Shichiroji: that is one approach kitty.. let me eillustrate..

[17:01] Yummi Burrito smiles

[17:01]  FireStaar Frye: lol

[17:02]  Dragon Shichiroji: one starts in a place where there is scarcity. and separation -- good and bad -- god and demon

[17:02]  Dragon Shichiroji: both are a part of us. like opposites..

[17:02]  Sufi Aya: yin and yang :)

[17:02]  Kitty Sprocket nods

[17:02]  Dragon Shichiroji: when the snake awakens.. it does so to unify the opposites that is its aim

[17:02]  FireStaar Frye: agrees

[17:03]  You: oh thats cool

[17:03]  FireStaar Frye: dark and light

[17:03]  Anjel Messmer: siva/sakti

[17:03]  Dragon Shichiroji: but in doing so -- it releases all the karmic issues of the past.. the heat and the poison

[17:03]  You: but to unfiy duality into one : )

[17:03]  Ullrich Enoch: Like Lucifer in the Garden.

[17:03]  Dragon Shichiroji: the stuff that comes out of all of us on this spiritual journey, at times

[17:03]  Ullrich Enoch: They say.

[17:03]  Sufi Aya: indeed...excellent

[17:03]  Dragon Shichiroji: we are all liable tosee either parts of ourselves come out.. the god and the demon....

[17:03]  jes Eilde: sorry I crashed, it is a myth about windows working

[17:04]  Anjel Messmer: male and female

[17:04]  Yummi Burrito: lol

[17:04]  Jane Atkey: lol

[17:04]  Dragon Shichiroji: but its all part of the process, of unification, we have to embrace our dark side in order to see above it

[17:04]  FireStaar Frye: we all ahve that within us

[17:04]  Dragon Shichiroji: so one of the main things that caneither help or hinder us-- is our speech..

[17:05]  Dragon Shichiroji: what we say -- seems to be everythiing -- that is so important. what we say to others

[17:05]  Dragon Shichiroji: so Shiva. in his compassion decided to drink the poison in his thraot

[17:05]  Dragon Shichiroji: he decided to keep it within and not let is pass further, this poison came from the churning

[17:05]  Anjel Messmer: turned him blue

[17:05]  Dragon Shichiroji: and that churning whever we face hardship can make us hiss and spit as well as you all know

[17:06]  FireStaar Frye: oh do i ! Lol

[17:06]  Dragon Shichiroji: the measure given is for compassion, to contorl our speech and see it as sacred, to value the word and what is in it. and the good or the harm it can bring

[17:06]  Yummi Burrito: i hiss often

[17:06]  Anjel Messmer: :)

[17:06]  Dragon Shichiroji: in this war between good and bad, it just continued.. from good to bad -- or our concpets of good and bad , there is no way other than that of the neutral point where each thing is seen for what it is

[17:07]  Dragon Shichiroji: it also shows -- that in this churning -- each thing that comes forth has some importance to it

[17:07]  Dragon Shichiroji: the god of love, the god of wealth, the bow, etc. all are gifts that come along the way on the path

[17:08]  Dragon Shichiroji: they are not the end however , they are just to help you along to the point where you go beyond it all

[17:08]  Dragon Shichiroji: to find the amrit , which is also our immortality...

[17:08]  jes Eilde: is amrit like nirvana?

[17:09]  Sufi Aya: samsara :)

[17:09]  jes Eilde: ok, thanks:)

[17:09]  You: well samara is the cycles of life, not the goal

[17:09]  Dragon Shichiroji: and at the end . the amrit appears and the mind is filled with bliss, and knowing, yet if we try to grasp it again and grab to hold the experience too tight. it runs from us

[17:09]  Kimberly Logan is Offline

[17:09]  Kitty Sprocket nods

[17:09]  Dragon Shichiroji: on each churning that you all go through, remember however hard it may be, that amrit will be what comes in the end, that is inevitable

[17:10]  Dragon Shichiroji: And that folks is the end of my class... LOl..

WORKSHOPS by ZENA ZEMLJA

My name is Zena Zemlja, and I recently joined the Mystic Academy Staff. I am very honoroured to be given the chance to reach out to people in Second Life with my workshops. I started in december with workshops to close the year in a positive way. They were about how to let go and also how to forgive all that is in the past, and should be left in the past.

These workshops were a succes and I have been asked even to give them now at other places in Second Life too. Still Mystic Academy is my first teaching ground, and I will repeat the workshop in the upcoming year also at Mystic Academy.

These workshops are called now: Forgive and Let go. The second series of workshops I’ve started are about Positive Thinking, which is so powerful and for everyone able to use to create the life you want to have. This workshop too is one that will be repeated several times, as people appreciate them much, and I want to give everyone a chance to find out about this simple and wonderful way to fulfil your dreams.

Of course people are welcome to come to the same classes more times, most welcome even. I hope to develop more workshops in the upcoming year, some in coöperation also with other guides at Mystic Academy. We have a wonderfull staff here with so much knowledge and experience; it’s an honour to be part of it and work together with them all.

I also highly appreciate the input of the Mystic Academy members in my workshops, it is so wonderful to learn from each other and bring to each other and to this virtual world called Second Life the beautifull Light that shines within us all. Bright Blessings to all of you. I hope to meet you in one of my workshops.
